Epson Stylus S21 under the microscope

Budget printers have always been flawed with bad build quality which makes them fall part very quickly and expensive to run in terms of the cost of the printer ink cartridges. First impressions of the S21 are that it’s different from other budget printer because it feels solid and the plastics used in its construction are very good quality. The Epson S21 ink cartridges however are still expensive compared to the cost of the printer, a full set of printer cartridges cost only 25% less than the printer itself. However, if you compare the price of the cartridge sin terms of cost per page its no more expensive than any other inkjet printer (or any cheaper). In terms of performance the S21 is a standard inkjet printer so its doesn’t have a long list of features like a multi-function all-in-one printer but it does do what its designed to do very well. Designed for everyday printing tasks the S21 goes beyond expectations with great print quality on anything from a standard page of black text right through to a A4 photo print. If you’re looking a basic inkjet printer that will stand the test of time then the Epson Stylus S21 in probably the printer for you and if you use compatible ink cartridges it makes it an even more attractive proposition.
